[ARTICLE] YG’S WINNER TALKS ABOUT BEING ON STAGE FOR BIGBANG’S JAPAN TOUR: “NERVOUS + OVERWHELMED”

[OSEN=박현민 기자] YG Entertainment’s newest boy group WINNER took part as the opening band in BIGBANG’s Japan’s 6 largest Dome Tour. And they were ready to talk about their first performance experience in such large-scale.

According to YG, WINNER performed at BIGBANG’s concert held on Nov 16, and after they left the stage joined by a huge cheering from the Japanese fans, they commented, “We were nervous that we could make mistakes, but was able to wrap up the performance with overwhelmed hearts.”

WINNER told more details of their performance after leaving the stage, “The parts that leave us with regret is that we were too nervous of making mistakes at BIGBANG’s concert, and we were worried that we would be overpowered by the sheer size of the stage. But we were able to end it with really overwhelmed hearts.”

And on their future direction, they said, “Starting off from today’s performance, we will return with better performances, and this will be a source of motivation to work harder,” while exchanging encouraging words with each other.

YG related personnel explained, “When WINNER arrived at Japan’s Haneda Airport on Nov 15, more than 300 local fans were there to greet him. Their popularity was as visible as that of other Korean Wave, or Hallyu stars.”

WINNER departed for Japan on Nov 15 to perform at the opening stages of BIGBANG, who will be starting their Dome Tour from Saitama Seibu Dome on 16th and 17th, to Osaka Kyocera Dome, Fukuoka Yahoo Dome, Nagoya Dome, Tokyo Dome and then to Sapporo Dome.

WINNER, with members Kang Seung Yoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Lee Seung Hoon and Nam Tae Hyun, is the final team of YG’s real survival program ‘WHO IS NEXT: WIN’. Performing for BIGBANG’s opening stage will help them accumulate some experience as artists, and they will be gearing for their debut soon.

[NEWS] WINNER, 'Glory' of their First Formal Debut Stage on BIGBANG's Dome Tour

YG Entertainment's newest boy group WINNER (Kang Seungyoon, Lee Seunghoon, Kim Jinwoo, Nam Taehyun, Song Minho) had their grand debut on BIG BANG's 6 Largest Dome Tour in Japan.

BIG BANG started their 6 Dome Tour in Japan on the 16th and 17th of November in Saitama Seibu Dome.  The concert hall can hold seats for up to 40 000-80 000 people.

WINNER performed as the opening act for BIG BANG's concert and finally hit their first debut stage.  WINNER took the stage with their self-composed song 'GO UP', 'OFFICIALLY MISSING YOU', and more.  They showed off their unending skills and they seemed far from a rookie with their vibrant performances and gentle voices.

 The members especially received a big welcome from the local fans for their skill in introducing themselves in Japanese as well as mixing Japanese into their songs.

Meanwhile, BIG BANG who has finished their performances in Saitama Seibu Dome will now move on to Osaka Kyocera Dome for November 29th and December 1st.  After they will head to Fukuoka Yahoo Dome, Nagoya Dome, Tokyo Dome, Sapporo Dome, and finish up back at Osaka Kyocera Dome.

[NEWS] YG WINNER, "Tension + Overflowing Feelings" Thoughts about their first stage on BIGBANG's Dome Tour

YG Entertainment's rookie group, WINNER, spoke up about their thoughts about their stage as the opening act for BIG BANG's 6 Dome Tour in Japan.

According to YG's management company, as WINNER had their first stage on the 16th in Japan, they received a big applause from the local audience as they got off the stage.  They revealed WINNER's thoughts and said, "We were nervous just in case we would make a mistake but we finished the performance well with overflowing feelings."

WINNER confessed, "We were very nervous and felt bad just in case we would make a mistake on our senior BIG BANG's stage.  We were also worried that we would become too overwhelmed with the scale of the performance but we finished the stage successfully."  They told us what they thought about the song and their performance after coming off stage.

On the topic of their own stages from now on, "Due to our performance today, I think we will be able to improve and be able to show a better image in the future." 

YG's officials explained, "When WINNER arrived at Haneda Airport on the 15th in Japan, over 300 fans were waiting to welcome them.  They received a warm welcome almost equivalent to a Hallyu Star." 

Meanwhile, WINNER arrived in Japan on the 15th to participate as the opening act in BIG BANG's Dome Tour in Saitama Seibu Dome on the 16th and 17th of November.  BIG BANG will host a 6 Dome Tour in Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Fukuoka Dome, Nagoya Dome, Tokyo Dome, and Sapporo Dome.

YG's new group, WINNER, determined from the survival program 'WHO IS NEXT: WIN' (Kang Seungyoon, Song Minho, Kim Jinwoo, Lee Seunghoon, and Nam Taehyun) is the opening act for BIG BANG's concert even before their official debut as artists.  They will receive great experience to prepare for their official debut.

[NEWS] YG 'WINNER', Opening Act for BIG BANG's Dome Tour

YG Entertainment's new boy group, WINNER, will join BIG BANG on their upcoming 6 Dome Tour.  

According to YG on the 15th, WINNER will be the opening act for BIG BANG on the 16th and 17th starting at Saitama Seibu Dome and moving on to Osaka Kyocera Dome, Fukuoka Dome, Nagoya Dome, and Sapporo Dome.  WINNER is a five-member group consisting of Kang Seungyoon, Song Minho, Kim Jinwoo, Lee Seunghoon, and Nam Taehyun from the survival group 'WHO IS NEXT: WIN'.

Kang Seungyoon said, "We are very thankful that we were given such an exceptional opportunity even before our debut." He continued, "We'll work our hardest not to only become someone off of our BIG BANG senior's name."
